This silent 16 mm movie has been sitting in the office archives for quite some time. We finally got around to digitizing it, so now it can be shared with the world!
It opens with some square dancing, followed by ski practice, rock climbing, and a some mountaineering. It's amazing how much equipment and standards of safety have changed!
The date of 1946 is only a guess. The trip to Kathadin in the film is dated as 1946, and one of the square dancers is wearing a sweater that says "1941." I also think that one of the skiers is MITOC president Flit McClintock (the one with glasses). He was president in 1941, and was definitely a skier.
