The five of us, along with some other folks went on a morning sea kayaking trip, led by Rick Abbot, along Seal Harbor. It was pretty foggy and the water was choppy. Our fearless leader provided us with great guidance to ensure that everyone had a safe and fun trip. Since the visibility was very low, I didn't take any pictures. We started kayaking around 11am and got back by 2pm. By that time we had built up a healthy appetite. The ever knowledgeable Rick suggested that we stop over at Jordan Pond House Restaurant nearby for some popovers.
After a very satisfactory meal, we hiked the North and South Bubbles. When we reached the top, we saw this ginormous Bubble that was about to fall over the edge. As you can see in the picture, the four of us were tempted to push it over. Then all of the sudden, Jess, with her super human strength, gave the rock a tremendous tug to secure it back in place. She reminded us of the Golden Rule of "Leave no trace." After hiking both Bubble trails, we still weren't sated. So we took a short, but rocky and steep side trail down to Jordan Pond and back up again to round off the afternoon.
